Paf begins partnership with ”La Liga”

The gaming company Paf has signed a sponsorship agreement in Spain with the world’s premier football league, Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (LFP), popularly know as La Liga.
The new partnership will give Paf the opportunity to offer their customers unique experiences in addition to bringing them closer to La Liga’s fans.

The Åland gaming company has been licenced in Spain for some time. The sponsorship agreement with LFP, signed earlier this week, gives Paf the opportunity to reach out to a wider audience than before.

”We are very happy to be able to align ourselves with the world’s premier football league. In cooperation with La Liga we have the opportunity to provide our customers with unique experiences and products. As relative newcomers to the market, this partnership also gives us greater exposure and credibility with the Spanish people,” says Paf’s CEO Anders Ingves.

The agreement covers the 2012/2013 season and gives Paf the opportunity to communicate with everyone who follows La Liga, using means such as social media, and to organize activities under a combined Paf and La Liga flag.

Åland’s Paf launches Ongame’s first casino side games

bwin.party’s Ongame has announced its first implementation of casino side games within the poker client following a deal with WMS subsidiary Jadestone.

Ongame said that the “non-intrusive” implementation of side games is designed to increase total operator revenues without cannibalizing on poker, while also enabling the promotion of other gaming products to poker players, which increases long-term player loyalty for the operator brand.

“Entering the casino market is a strategic step for Ongame,” said the company’s managing director Peter Bertilsson. “Ongame’s excellence within poker and our long-term relations with our operators puts us in a unique position to offer an improved player experience and increased profits for our partners.”

Åland’s Paf has become the first operator to offer the side games within the poker client, with casino side games provided by Swedish games developer Jadestone.

“We are happy to finally offer side games within our poker client,” said Arvid Klingström, head of poker at Paf. “For us at Paf, with our focus mainly on recreational players, this is a natural step to expand our offering towards our poker players and to cross promote poker and casino. The packaging of the games is great and the look-and-feel really fits Paf.”

Robert Henrysson, CEO at Jadestone, added: “Jadestone’s side games offering is perfectly suited for implementation within the Ongame poker client. With the help of Ongame we are able to offer exciting casino games to poker players without making it hard for the operator to implement.

“This is a new way for us to distribute content, and through the recent acquisition of Jadestone by WMS, we may ultimately look to provide WMS award-winning portfolio in a similar manner.”

Unibet leaves Spain, but not for long

Unibet has announced its withdrawal from the Spanish market in relation to the forthcoming implementation of new online gambling regulations for the country.

The news reported on Spanish online poker website Red Poker publishes an e-mail reportedly sent to customers this week advising that Unibet will allow customer account access to request withdrawals but will no longer offer its services after May 14, 2012.

The e-mail announced a partnership between Unibet & Swedish operator Paf , who has applied for & anticipates receiving a Spanish license, offering its customers an alternative following its exit from the market.

In order to comply with the new gambling law online Spanish, Unibet suspended its activities in Spain on May 14, 2012. From this date, you can still access your account, but only to request withdrawals, & check your history, you can not access Unibet products.

Atlético Madrid's gaming site goes live

Finland's Paf has announced that the official online gaming site for its football partner Atlético de Madrid has now gone live at Apuestasrojiblancas.com, under the terms of a three year sponsorship agreement signed with the Spanish La Liga club last year.

Available in both English and Spanish, the site will offer a complete range of betting and gaming services including sports betting, casino, poker, bingo, lottery, slots, and skill games, all connected to the Atlético de Madrid brand.

Anders Wiklund, Head of Business to Business at Paf, said: “We are pleased to announce that Atlético de Madrid’s Official Gaming Site has today gone live. It’s a true honour for Paf to launch this service, and together with the club, be able to offer Atlético de Madrid fans a very special and unique online entertainment service.”

Mr Wiklund said that Atlético de Madrid is one of the first football clubs in the world to have its own online gaming site, created and developed especially for the Atlético de Madrid community.
